This session will delve into effective leasing strategies tailored specifically for non-profit organizations, while also exploring various leasing opportunities available in the current market landscape. Furthermore, we will provide a comprehensive overview of the latest trends impacting the DMV area.

Panelists:

Nicole Miller, Senior Managing Director and Co-Regional Manager, Savills


Nicole is a Senior Managing Director and Co-Regional Manager in Savills’ Washington, DC office, representing national and global office tenants with deep expertise in the Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland markets. She has spent the last 21 years at Savills, where she has built a reputation for her exceptional strategic insights and strong client advocacy.

Nicole works exclusively with tenants looking to lease office space and/or purchase, sell, or capitalize on build-to-suit opportunities. Her specialty is solving the real estate needs of associations and nonprofits. With an MBA, she integrates detailed financial analysis and forecasting into strategic real estate planning, helping clients achieve both their immediate goals and long-term vision.

Ganon Rich, Executive Vice President, Transwestern 


Ganon Rich has been advising office occupiers for over 25 years. As Executive Vice President of Tenant Advisory + Workplace Solutions, Ganon‘s primary focus is the representation of mid-size commercial office tenants in the Washington, DC metropolitan area – with a specialty in the representation of trade associations and nonprofit organizations.

Mindy Saffer, Managing Principal, Cresa


Mindy started her career in commercial real estate in 1986, working in an architecture firm designing office space for occupiers. In 1999, Mindy became a real estate advisor for a local occupier representation-only real estate firm. When Mindy joined Cresa’s Washington, DC, office as a Managing Principal in 2012, she founded Cresa’s Nonprofit Practice Group, of which she is a co-leader. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mindy led Cresa’s internal Remote Work Task Force, which resulted in a new service line, Cresa Remote Advisory Services. Over the last 37 years, Mindy has had the privilege of representing the most prominent nonprofits and associations in the US and globally.

Since May of 2010 I have served as Senior Vice-President, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer with the Futures Industry Association (FIA). Prior to FIA, I enjoyed a 21-year career with the Airlines Reporting Corporation, a for profit entity with a non-profit motive as an industry-owned technology provider.

I earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from The Pennsylvania State University and earned a Master’s degree from the John’s Hopkins University Carey School of Business.

I am based in Washington DC, and married with three children. I enjoy skiing, golf, and travel.
